Lewis co-founded Eigen Technologies in 2014. He was formerly a senior advisor to Linklaters LLP, where he co-founded their Tactical Opportunities team, a deal origination unit. Lewis previously founded and led the Quantitative Finance & Strategies division of Aleron Partners LLP, a boutique private equity advisory firm. He began his career as a consultant at McKinsey & Company in London, where he specialized in financial institutions, energy, and corporate finance. Lewis holds a doctorate in atomic & laser physics from the University of Oxford as well as a bachelor’s in physics and fine arts and a master’s in theoretical physics from Harvard University.
Jonathan co-founded Eigen in 2014, and is a Senior Advisor to CVC Capital Partners. Prior to becoming Senior Advisor to CVC in 2018, Jonathan was a Managing Partner at the firm. During his 30-year tenure with CVC, he co-ran the Strategic Opportunities Fund, founded and ran the Global Financial Institutions Group, and served on the boards of many private and public companies. Jonathan is a qualified chartered accountant (Ernst & Whinney), holds a BSc in MORSE from the University of Warwick, and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program. In addition to Eigen Technologies, Jonathan has invested in a number of smaller, high-growth companies. With his wife, he runs his family's charitable foundation, and funds and supports an international AI scholarship program at the University of Warwick.
Hess founded Eigen’s product team and leads the development of Eigen’s product solutions. Prior to Eigen, she was an International Engagement Lead at BTS, a leading European digital consulting firm. Hess has also worked as a Product Designer in Brussels for Sony. Hess holds a master’s degree in creative industries (informatics) with distinction from Birkbeck, University of London, a joint degree between the School of Arts and the School of Business, Economics and Informatics.
Andrea leads Eigen’s science team, where he oversees the company’s research and development. As a member of the Clarendon Laboratory at the University of Oxford and the holder of a Marie Curie student fellowship, Andrea built complex laser systems and developed novel metrology strategies to investigate atomic and molecular ultrafast dynamics. As part of this process, he improved existing algorithms to tackle the widely-known problem of optical phase evaluation. Andrea holds a doctorate in atomic and laser physics from the University of Oxford and a master’s degree in quantum optics and quantum information from Università degli Studi di Milano.
Daniel is Eigen’s Founding Computer Scientist and leads the company’s engineering team, overseeing both the development and deployment of its software. Prior to Eigen, Daniel worked as an engineer and developer at several American tech companies, including Yext, Ploonky, eLaw and TestWorks. Daniel holds a bachelor’s in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University, where he was included on the Dean’s list.
Emily leads Eigen’s marketing team. She was previously a senior partner at GroupM (WPP), where she managed partnerships with data and technology companies. Before GroupM, Emily worked at McKinsey & Company in London as an analyst in the Media & Entertainment practice. She began her career in London at Essence, a global digital agency. Emily holds bachelor’s degrees in biological sciences and English literature from Stanford University and a master’s degree in English literature from the University of Oxford.
Adam is Eigen’s General Counsel and commercial lead for the legal sector. Prior to joining Eigen, Adam was a Partner at Slaughter and May. During his 14 years at Slaughter and May, he specialized in commercial transactions and worked on a variety of high-profile M&A and equity capital markets deals. Adam has also worked as an independent consultant for technology businesses in both the legal and medical sectors. He holds a bachelor's in Classics from the University of Oxford and received his Diploma in Law from BPP Law School London.
