Event Write-Up: Innovate Finance Global Summit, London, April 2022
Earlier this week, we attended the Innovate Finance Global Summit, held at the Guildhall in the City of London. Over the course of two days, attendees had the opportunity to meet innovative vendors in the fintech ecosystem, learn about the latest fintech regulations, and discover how businesses are working to evolve the sector for companies and consumers alike.
The event brought together over 1500 in-person attendees and 500 virtual attendees, including industry leaders from financial services, as well as innovators, regulators, policy makers, start-ups and investors with speakers and sponsors from various financial services providers.
On the first day of the Summit (Monday, April 4) our team members Tom and Naief met attendees at our stand to talk about our intelligent automation and document processing technology. This was an opportunity to educate attendees on the benefits of using the Eigen platform and the use cases within financial services we could help them with such as loan operations, regulatory reporting and compliance and data extraction automation. It also gave us an opportunity to network with talent within the fintech sector.
Our co-founder and CEO, Lewis Z. Liu, spoke on the ‘Asset Management, Risk and the Green Revolution: FinTech’s Critical Role' panel alongside speakers from SparkChange, Schroders and ION. The panel discussed how fintech can contribute towards building a sustainable future in finance. During the discussion, Lewis emphasized the importance of maximizing resource efficiency, stating: "Every single carbon-intensive human activity requires capital. Finance is one of the ultimate drivers of everything that shapes the climate. So, it’s incumbent on us in the industry to help find the solution."
To summarize, we took away many insights from the event and the conversations we had there, including a critical understanding of the role technology providers like us play in terms of enabling a sustainable financial system that benefits consumers and businesses.
