Event Write-Up: ITC Vegas, Sept 2022

This September, we sponsored ITC Vegas 2022, hosted by Insurtech Connect at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. With over 9,000 attendees, ITC Vegas is billed as the world's largest gathering of insurance leaders and influential figures. The event set out to showcase the newest innovations in insurance and offer unparalleled access to the most comprehensive gathering of tech entrepreneurs, investors, and insurance industry providers.

On arrival, our team greeted attendees at our booth and introduced them to our intelligent document processing platform. We discussed the insurance-specific use cases the Eigen platform can be used for, and how our AI-enabled document processing and data extraction capabilities enable insurers to deal with the growing volume and complexity of data, reduce risk and improve customer satisfaction.

On the first day of the conference, our CEO and co-founder, Lewis Z. Liu, took to the stage to debut Underwriter Assistant, our new modular solution to support insurers at each stage of the underwriting process. Underwriter Assistant uses AI to enable underwriters to automate the non-underwriting parts of the job that detract from the actual underwriting of risks. By providing underwriters with solutions to increase productivity at every step of the submissions journey, Lewis shared the ways that Underwriter Assistant can increase submission-to-quote and quote-to-bind ratios as well as reduce loss and expense ratios.

Following the introduction of Underwriter Assistant, traffic to our booth increased with interest from delegates seeking to learn more about each module as well as the end-to-end solution. The submissions triage module that extracts the relevant data from inbound emails and attachments so risks can be prioritized quickly struck a chord with our audience and was cited as the piece of the underwriting journey often overlooked by vendors.

From our time at ITC Vegas, we discovered that profitability and flexibility are key drivers for innovation in insurance, both of which underline how automation is becoming an essential component for operations within the industry.
