We endeavour to make Eigen a great place to work for everyone regardless of age, disability, gender, nationality, race, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic background.
Our ongoing commitment to diversity
We have dedicated workstreams to ensure our recruitment and work practices embrace and support diversity and aim to create a flexible and accessible working environment that allows everyone to flourish. Our commitments include signing the Mental Health at Work Charter, being a Stonewall Global Diversity Champion, joining the Business in the Community Network, being a Race at Work Charter signatory and membership of the National Association for Diversity in Portugal and the Nova SBE Inclusive Community Forum.
We have also formed a Diversity & Inclusion Committee with over 25 volunteers from across the business meeting regularly to identify areas for improvement and champion equality within their respective locations and functions.
Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG)
We continuously monitor ESG factors to ensure we're making progress towards our goals. We collect and measure data and look for ways to reduce our consumption, waste production and environmental impact. We’ve developed and implemented company policies and procedures that promote inclusion and sound working practices. We monitor and mitigate risks effectively to make sure we have a sustainable business model and can deliver for our clients, people, investors and partners in the years to come.
Flexible working options
We offer our whole team the flexibility to work from home if they wish to do so, and provide equipment and technical support to help people get the most out of home working. Our team are also welcome to work from the office if they prefer and we have taken significant measures to make our offices safe, comfortable and enjoyable environments in which to work.
Our approach to COVID
Our approach to the pandemic has been shaped by concern for the well-being and safety of staff and ongoing scientific and government advice.
We supported our team in home working throughout the pandemic via measures such as providing equipment and technical support, offering additional resources for staff mental health needs and providing virtual opportunities for team building. We also surveyed staff on their requirements and wishes and provided clear communications from the leadership team throughout. We successfully onboarded dozens of staff members 100% remotely during the pandemic. We will continue to support staff in line with all appropriate guidance and safety measures in the coming months and the additional resources offered around staff mental health needs are here to stay.
